Janice is holding a workshop on Wednesday 11 March. As the workshop is fully subscribed, there will be no room to set up the guild quilt.
The next chance to quilt on our guild quilt will be at the sewing session on Wednesday 18 March, from 1 pm to 5 pm. Supper will follow, and then the monthly meeting.
There will be another sewing session on Wednesday 25 March from 10 am to 4 pm and the guild quilt will also be set up then.
So come along on either or both of those days to help quilt and to see our progress on this beautiful quilt.
Of course - if school is cancelled, so is quilting!
Challenges
We now have two challenges in Thistle Quilt Guild.
The first challenge is organized by Anne Mattie. The challenge is: "It's My Birthday!". The challenge is to make anything - wall hanging, table topper, anything - that reflects your birthday. The interpretation is up to you. The challenge is due for our May meeting (NOT BEFORE!) or for our Quilt Show (30 May). So come up with something fun and bring it to our May meeting. If you would like further information, please contact Anne or Kate.
The second challenge is to make a Christmas ornament to decorate our Christmas tree at our Quilt Show. The suggestion is to make a star - any kind of star: pieced, redwork, any star - or if you don't want to make a star, then anything to decorate the Christmas tree will be most welcome.
Enjoy these two challenges. Maybe try a new technique or revisit an old favourite. Have fun! No stress.

Sewing Session 25 February
Our next sewing session will be on Wednesday 25 February from 10 am to 4 pm. We will be quilting our guild quilt. So come and join us and sit and quilt and chat. It is amazing what subjects come up for discussion! We welcome everyone to come and quilt, or at least to admire our work. See you then.
Workshop in March
Our next workshop will be a Convergence quilt. This workshop is offered by Janice d'Eon. This is a wonderful project that uses 4 fabrics. And you always learn a lot at every workshop! It will be held on Wednesday 11 March from 9 am to 3 pm. Please contact Janice for more details. It will be a lot of fun!
