THISTLE QUILT GUILD, Pictou County, Nova Scotia
June Meeting
Our last meeting of the year will be on Wednesday 10 June at 7 pm. There will be sewing in the afternoon from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm.
Then we are trying something a little different. There will be a cold pot luck supper at 5.30 pm. All members are welcome, so we look forward to seeing everyone there.
If you wish, you may pay your dues for next year - $25.00.
Instead of a fundraiser, there will be lots of prizes given away. Also, we will have the draw for our guild quilt. So if you have not yet returned your tickets, please do so at the meeting.
And for the first time, we will try holding sewing days in the summer on the second Wednesday of July and August: 8 July and 12 August.
Hope to see everyone at our June meeting - Wednesday 10 June.

It's Time for Colour
A travelling quilt show is making its way around the country and Thistle Quilt Guild is lucky enough to host a showing. CQA commissioned several award-winning quilt artists to create wall quilts along the theme of "It's Time for Colour". From these wall quilts, two travelling exhibits were created, one for western Canada and one for eastern Canada.
Our local CQA representative, Dorinda McCully, is bringing the eastern Canada show to our guild at the Westville Recreation Centre on Wednesday 22 April, from 12 noon to 2 pm.
Dorinda will introduce these quilts and talk about their creation. Following this, we will have a pot luck lunch.
This is a wonderful chance to see some beautiful quilts and it should be a lovely afternoon event.
