Notes from March meeting

It was reported that $820 had been raised by members to donate to Roots for Youth - well done, everyone!

Quilts for veterans are being organized by Joyce Eaton - please see Joyce for further details.

Gloria is in charge of this year's Quilt Show. There will be two vendors with lots of goodies for sale. There are two challenges for the Quilt Show - pin cushions and Christmas ornaments. We also need lots of items for the Tea Room.

A workshop on miniatures will be given by Linda Hubbard on Saturday 26 April. And Linda will also do a Trunk Show on Friday 25 April and we are combining this with a dessert party.

Members made and donated 10 wine bags which have now been sent on to Quilt Canada.

Raffle tickets on our Guild Quilt have been handed out to members. Please return all ticket stubs and money by the May meeting.

The nominating committee - Carol Francis, Eileen Betts and Kate Anderson, will meet soon. So if you would like to take an executive position with the Guild, or if you have a suggestion of someone who would be good, please contact one of the nominating committee.

Please come and help quilt our guild quilt at our Wednesday sewing sessions.

If you have any UFOs, register them with Shelley Tye for a chance to win the pot of money!

Several members are sending postcards to Hawaii and others are sending postcards to New Zealand. We look forward to receiving postcards from those far off places.
